New: cimt connect X.400

for use of X.400 based Value Added Networks in SAP PI

The successful cimt connect product line has been extended by another member in the beginning of July. Cimt connect X.400 enables the exchange of messages with X.400-based VAN (Value Added Networks) services using SAP Process Integration (PI). Product Manager Marius Richter explains: "We have developed cimt connect X.400 as an integrated SAP PI adapter. Therefore it is available to direct integration into the SAP XI Adapter Framework. This approach allows the integration of existing monitoring and alerting functionality of a SAP PI system for use of X.400-based scenarios, also the configuration is done exclusively in SAP PI. This eliminates usage of separate X.400 applications that had to be upstream or downstream otherwise. It's a real added value for our customers."

The product line cimt connect includes cimt Connect EDI for the conversion of EDIFACT messages, cimt connect TradaNet for the implementation of standard messages in Tradacom, cimt connect AS/2 for the use of AS/2 protocol, cimt connect S-FTP for the secured SSH FTP data transfer and cimt connect X.400 for communication using X.400-based Value Added Networks. All components are available for Windows and UNIX operating system environments.
