New: cimt connect PDF

cimt connect PDF to generate PDF files based on any data structure

The latest member of the cimt connect family arose from the requirement to generate a PDF file in SAP Process Integration (PI) at run-time from data of a SAP IDoc and save it. To meet this requirement and also to increase flexibility for our customers, cimt connect PDF has been developed as adapter module. This ensures that cimt connect PDF can be used with almost all adapters in an SAP PI system. Due to this flexibility, the resulting PDF file can be transmitted in various ways to the destination. The basic layout of the respective PDF file is described based on XSL-FO (Extensible Stylesheet Language Formatting Objects) and combined with the raw data in the mapping process. The restriction on SAP IDoc as data source was abolished: the ability to define the formatting and layout of the PDF file in a mapping allows our customers to provide the data in each SAP PI-compliant data structure to the system. The flexibility for our customers stood in the foreground again.

As the first customer is a North German wholesale company using this solution to save inventory reports from the cash registers of the stores in the connected archive system in addition to the posting to SAP ERP.

The product line cimt connect includes cimt connect EDI for the conversion of EDIFACT messages, cimt connect TradaNet for the implementation of standard messages in Tradacom, cimt connect AS/2 for the use of AS/2 protocol, cimt connect S-FTP for the secured SSH FTP data transfer and cimt connect X.400 for communication using X.400-based Value Added Networks. All components are available for Windows and UNIX operating system environments.
