There are five cimt ag offices in Germany. They are situated in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne and Frankfurt. In addition we have two offices abroad: one in The Hague/Netherlands and one in Methuen/USA.

We are always looking for committed and talented employees who enjoy working creatively and independently. Thus, there are also options for lateral entry career changers. However, you definitely need to have an affinity to and a strong interest in the IT sector. Ideally you would have already gained some experience in the field through an internship or your studies.

Is there such a thing as a typical profile for cimt employees?
There is no such thing at cimt ag. People from diverse backgrounds work for us and we regard each of them as a unique character. The core value that unites all of us is an exceptionally high degree of commitment and responsibility towards our clients as well as to the company. What will the first few weeks at cimt ag be like?
As a new employee at cimt ag you will become part of a highly motivated team that you will support in one of our current projects. You will deal with the development and refinement of innovative concepts, the technical design and the implementation of individual solutions in existing SAP system landscapes or with SAP introduction projects and the subsequent supervision and mentoring after start up.

What does a developer do at cimt ag?
As a developer at cimt ag you are part of a motivated project team and support our consulting teams with their SAP, Java and test management projects from the requirements review to the implementation of the conceptualized solutions. In this process you will acquire more and more personal duties and responsibilities for sophisticated multifaceted tasks. Within the context of current NetWeaver topics (especially Exchange Infrastructure, Web Dynpro for Java and ABAP, NetWeaver Application Server Java, NetWeaver PORTAL, NetWeaver Development Infrastructure NWDI ) you can broaden and enhance your SAP-competence.
Furthermore, the latest Java technologies and software development concepts are also in the focus of cimt ag. Key technologies are Java, Spring and Hibernate.

What does a consultant do at cimt ag?
As an IT-consultant at cimt ag you are part of a motivated project team that implements many different operational procedures in SAP. Together with the team you will devise all stages of the project and are responsible for the development and refinement of innovative concepts, the technical design and implementation of individual solutions in existing SAP system landscapes or with SAP introduction projects and the subsequent supervision and mentoring after start up.
In the Java environment you work independently as a team member on concepts and new developments of complex Java applications. In customer consulting we pay special attention to the latest technologies, e.g. topics out of the Open Source area, and are therefore able to provide robust, future-proof and efficient applications.

We are primarily looking for interns and graduands studying business administration, business information technology and industrial engineering. However, we also welcome motivated people from other fields. You need to have a strong interest in tried and tested as well as new technologies. How many apprentices are hired per year?
We hire one or two apprentices a year.
What are the deadlines for traineeships?
The selection procedure for 2008 is already completed and no more applications are considered. Applications for apprenticeships starting in August 2009 are welcome as of September 2008.

Praktika und Diplomarbeiten
Was ist bei der Bewerbung für ein Praktikum oder eine Bachelor-/Diplomarbeit zu beachten?
Wir suchen vor allem Praktikanten und Diplomanden der folgenden Studienrichtungen: (Wirtschafts-)Informatik, Wirtschaftswissenschaften (BWL) und Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen. Auf jeden Fall sollten Sie starkes Interesse an bewährten und neuen Technologien mitbringen. Erste praktische Erfahrung in Industrie und/oder Beratung sind von Vorteil. Sie können in unseren aktuellen Stellenangeboten nach ausgeschriebenen Praktika und Bachelor-/Diplomarbeitsthemen suchen, sich aber auch mit einem eigenen Thema an uns wenden. Wir prüfen dann, ob bei uns entsprechender Bedarf vorhanden ist.

Wie viele Auszubildende werden pro Jahr eingestellt?
Wir suchen pro Jahr ca. 1-2 Auszubildende.
Bis wann läuft die Bewerbungsfrist für Ausbildungen?
Unsere Auszubildenden beginnen in der Regel im August bzw. September. Das Auswahlverfahren für ein neues Ausbildungsjahr beginnt im Oktober des Vorjahres und endet spätestens im Mai des laufenden Jahres.
Beispiel: Für einen Ausbildungsstart in 2011 ist der Bewerbungszeitraum von Oktober 2010 bis Mai 2011.
