Theater Group by Berlin art workshop "Sonnenuhr"
RambaZamba - that is the name of theatric group for people with mental handicaps by Sonnenuhr, an art workshop in Berlin. Since its foundation in 1991, the "crazy theater" brought 14 full-length plays by two groups on the stage (Director: Gisela Höhne respectively Klaus Erforth). Art and theater experts, the media, and the audience acknowledge RambaZamba as Germany?s most important integrative theater (Mainzer Allgemeine), where one can experience handicaps as strengths (Frankfurter Rundschau).
The group has already been invited to famous national and international theaters (e.g. Expos in Lisbon and Hanover, the Akademietheater, the Burgtheater in Vienna, Basel and Graz, Milan, Munich, Dresden, Hamburg, Leipzig). Famous actors, directors, and other artists have been involved in the plays of RambaZamba, for the very reason that RambaZamba is the only theater that gets along without identity crisis.
